Women's Ministries Opportunities
Caring Ministries
(Intercession, Mercy, Healing, Faith)
Prayer ministry; co-ordinate prayer chain, altar workers for services, intercessory prayer, prepare prayer
request baskets,
1. To place in Ms. Jayme's Pre-School office for daycare moms and workers;
2. For Women's Ministry events.
Friends in sickness and in health ministry; arrange for home visits, phone calls, meal preparation, transportation for those in need, video and audio gathering, help for senior adults (cleaning or errands ect.)
Hospitality Ministry
(Service, Giving, Hospitality, Helps, Encouraging)
Assist in funerals/viewings/receptions: Welcome guests, be available to family, prepare food and serve.
Co-ordinate food for special events; Organize set-up crew, serving team, and clean up team.
Greeters for women's ministry events and Sunday greeters Ushers for Women' services.
Child-Care ministry: In case of emergencies, ill parents, new moms, special events/co-ordinate child care during special meetings or services. Arrange for teens or adult supervision, snacks, activities, (games,crafts, videos, etc.)
Ministry to widows, orphanage, outreach to school and daycare moms.We have a huge opportunity to minister to the many moms who are part of the school and daycare. The need here is great to reach out to these women and let them see Christ in our church.
Secretarial: Typing monthly newsletters, brocheures, handling advertising for bulletins for women's ministry events, turning in information to be put in church bulletin.
Card mailing Ministry: sending cards to church members on a weekly basis for illness, sympathy, absentees, etc. Make certificates of appreciation for workers, and baby dedications, water baptisms, etc.
Research: Gather information needed by teams preparing for special events.
Advertising: Obtaining banners, radio ads, newspaper ads, promotions, etc.
Encouragement and appreciation ministry: Creating ideas and ways to show appreciation to all church workers (praise team, music dept., teachers, youth workers, sound and media dept. workers, volunteers for all school sports, coaches, assistants, secretarial staff, daycare teachers, ushers, maintenance, janitorial, and much more). Anywhere we see people who labor for the good of the church and Kingdom of God.
Pastoral staff: Pastor and his wife, and all the other Pastors on staff. This ministry will be busy! Coordinator will recruit other members to help along with team members.
Some ideas may include; baskets, gift bags, cards, phone calls, baked goods, giving names to secretarial ministry to make certificates and printed or hand written notes, candy with notes: the list is up to you. Your team will be given the names of people to do this for.
In the future we will be working with LifeBuilders in organizing Pastor Appreciation events and fundraisers as a year long project.
Helps ministry: Come along side any ministry team that may need help for an event, help Sister Sandy and Sister Frances when asked.
Showers / Party Organizaion: When showers or parties are scheduled the team will organize and plan with other teams that are relevant.
Self-Help Ministries: Organize classes or group study groups in self improvement topics (healthy diets, exercise, spiritual growh, etc.) Arrange for speakers, or literature on different topics for monthly newletter.
The Arts Ministry
(Artistry, Craftsmanship, Creative Communications)
Decorating Coordinator: Church events, showers, parties, monthly women's events, etc, etc. This is a chance to be creative and use the supplies that are given to you (within the theme that is decided on).
The Levite Ministry: Decorating church foyer, bathrooms, etc. improvement ideas for Sanctuary submitted for approval by leadershiip.
Gift Wrapping: Door prizes and special presentations.
Music Ministry: Arranging for special music for all women's ministry events.
Creative Arts: Drama, creative movement, Mime, Dance, Skits, Plays, Poetry, Drama readings, Entertainment, etc.
Writing Ministry: Devotions for monthly newsletter, articles for bulletins for women's services, etc. Designing visitors cards for women's events. (to be turned in to our evangelism team).
Drawing, painting, creating back drops, posters, covers for manuals, sewing costumes, making center pieces, crafts for women's events, props for events, the list goes on and on!
Photography: Photography for events at church, school, daycare for brochures, PowerPoints, church wesbite, bulletins, promotions, baby showers, dedications, Baptisms, ectc.
Video / Sound: Help with copies for PowerPoint, for sale, ect. (this is only with the supervision of the church media dept.)
Gathering Ministry: Gather, purchase or borrow items for women's events, Pastor's illustrated sermons, etc. (can not mind trying to gather on a short notice! Must enjoy the hunt) Instructions will be given to you & lists and money, if needed.
Evangelism and Mission's Ministry
A ministry to our missionariees and their families. To have fundraisers, send gifts, cards, e-mails etc on a personal level.
Provide necessary items for guest speakers or visitors. Follow up with phone calls, cards, etc.
Help with preparation of visitor packets for Sunday. Use creativity in contents of packet and questionnaire for visitors. Any cards that are turned in during a women's meeting should be directed to the proper dept.
Follow up with visitors with phone calls, cards, possibly home visits, e-mails, etc. Be ready to pray with them through to salvation, for special needs, healing, etc.
Fundraising Ministry
Planning and organizing creative fundraisers, heading them up, bookkeeping for these events, these fundraisers may be for the church, missions, women's ministries, benevolence, or different ministries of the church. To be determined by leadership.
Shopping Ministry!
Will shop for items needed for women's ministry (must be a bargain hunter and a penny pincher, comparison shopper. Can only buy what is on the list given to them.
Administration
Organizing Ministry: Organize committees and follow-up, organize church kitchen for functions, make lists of things needed, put all women's ministry items in totes and label and keep inventory and check out system, organize any and everything!
Drama closet: Inventory and organize costumes, props, etc. Design check-out forms for signature of anyone who takes anything
from the closet.
Leadership: Be ready to lead others in differnt events when called upon.
Teaching
Teachers for differnt classes, church or women's ministry. Have a special passion to teach the younger women or children. Many different opportunities to teach on Wednesday nights, home bible studies, women's seminars, children's classes on Sunday mornings, etc.
